I have learned.
What, where, and how I have been has continued to shift, move, and morph.
I am unlearning.
The process of discovering how the structures and systems around me have shaped my thinking, identity, and beliefs is ongoing. I strive to see them, name them, and shift them. My eyes continue to change. My photos represent who I was in the moment I snapped the shutter. Now, each time I raise my camera to my eye I recognize the shift in privilege, power, and dynamic I create. A responsibility I do not take lightly.
I aspire.
To keep changing, seeing anew, sharing what I have learned, and exploring myself and the world around me.
